My youngest son learned several songs as part of his Kindergarten Graduation. Three of them were hymns and praise songs and one was this silly little diddy that has become our official family car song. It. Is. H-I-L-A-R-I-O-U-S!!! (Wish you could hear the tune and hick accent to get the full effect!) So cute. We couldn't believe he was actually able to keep it a secret from us for those few weeks of practice. We literally sing it all the time now and I can guarantee it will be wafting out the windows of our roadtrip this weekend.
BESSIE THE HEIFER
Bessie, the Heifer (Moo!)
Queen of all the cows
She gives more milk than
Any cow around
In the morning she gets pasturized
In the evening gets homogonized
Bessie the Heifer (Moo!)
Queen of all the cows!
Took her to the country fair
Tried to win a prize
She looked mad and nervous
I could see it in her eyes
When it came to milkin'
All I got was cottage cheese
Bessie the Heifer (Moo!)
Queen of all the cows
........EVERYBODY! Bessie the Heifer (Moo!).............
On another note, I want to say THANK YOU to Aaron and Matt from our church for spending this Memorial Day Weekend (and many other nights and days) in harm's way to protect our freedoms. Because you are away from your families this holiday, we will be enjoying ours in peace and safety from foreign enemies. You guys are my kids' heroes! (Even more than before.)
Thanks too, to all of you Blogger friends I've "met" who have served or who are spending your holiday without a special loved one who is serving now. There are several of you. And especially, thank you to ANYONE reading this who will spend this weekend visiting a grave containing a coffin that was once covered in red, white, and blue. It's nothing small or forgotten and my family appreciates you and them so very much!!!

Hilarious song! Definitely this is one I've never heard before now.
Amen to loving and appreciating our military men and women!
The mention of those who have served our country and paid the price for OUR freedom is fitting and appreciated. I too say thank you from the very core of my heart!
Bessie. BAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Love those silly songs. In my day, I couldn't stop laughing at the "Boom boom, 'aint it great to be crazy" song. Sang it constantly (still do sometimes).
Blessings,
~Toni~
