The Right Stuff

Our son has had us in stitches for a large part of the afternoon, and without even trying.

First was his nonchalant play by play of the puppies frolicking in the perfect afternoon breeze.

"Oh, ah, there goes Harley - she's chasing the boob."

This experience with 10 puppies has made him such a veteran of the whole nursing process.

Then later I was explaining to the kids that we would be bringing home two different friends tomorrow whose moms needed me to pick up their kids from school. "Why?" asked my daughter. "Where will Mrs. M. (her friend's mom) be going?"

"She'll be at home," I answered. "But she's having a party she has to set up for and she didn't want all of the other ladies alone in her home while she left to come get M."

"What kind of party?" my 6-year-old son asked.

"Several other ladies are coming over so they can all show their stuff off to people who are coming to their open house."

My son's eyes got wider than he was hoping they would as he tried to hide his surprise.

"Mom?! Why would you be a part of that by helping with their kids while they do that?!!!"

I laughed and laughed.

"No, Honey! They're all SELLING stuff. Some of them are selling makeup; some purses; some clothes. That's why I just said STUFF! Their showing off what their selling - not their........STUFF stuff!"

"Oh."

Hee hee hee.

Love it! I'm glad things are going well at your house. Things are great over here. I can't believe you were at TG Farms!!! Someday friend, someday! We did go through the maze. I have video of Fletcher rolling through there. He didn't really know what to think of it! Maddie loved it, of course.

Hee hee! I would love to see him romping with the puppies, what would be cuter?!?!
I was just thinking how open houses would be a great idea.

Aww haha that is really cute!

I love how our boys say the funniest things. Recently my son and hubby bought me a gorgeous diamond necklace from www.idonowidont.com for my birthday.

My son was going around telling his friends 'mommy loves bling like beyonce!' I actually have no idea where he learned the word bling from.

"...chasing the boob"! :-) There's nothing like animals to teach kids the realities of life!
